The Company Section programme continues to be based on the Brigade Award scheme.

Band

We are taking part in a joint project with two other company sections in our area :- the 94th Glasgow (1st Shettleston) & the 111th Glasgow. Officers and Boys from the 3 sections have formed together to form a Bugle band. Our company had a pipe band many years ago which closed down due to lack of staff. We have had the drums repaired and thanks to help from Lt. Goodhall (94th) and Kenneth Blackwood , we have been learning to play the drums and bugle. Some of our staff and boys have taken part in parades with the band.

Battalion Events

We recently entered two teams for the battalion First Aid competitions. Glasgow Battalion runs two First Aid competitions each year :- The Roberton Cup and the 157th Field Ambulance Trophy. One of our teams was 4th in the 157th Field Ambulance Competition.

Visits

Earlier in the session we visited the Scottish Football Museum , which included a tour of the National Stadium. We also visited the Time Capsule in Coatbridge at Christmas. During the summer some of our boys and staff will be going to the Crossover weekend along with members of our Girls' Brigade company.

Our badgework programme continues with the addition now of Band awards and Golf which is being taught to us by an ex-member Jim McNeil.
